About Me

I am Ahmad Alrefai, a computer science major. Fun fact about me: I am actually from Egypt. I only moved to the US in 2016. I lived in Egypt for most of my life, but I have also lived in Germany for a couple of years. I have also been to Vienna and Paris.

Now, let me tell you a bit about my hobbies. I like to read, listen to music, and play sports, like volleyball. I discovered my love of reading when I moved to the States and in the past six years alone I have read over 500 books.

I think it’s obvious why I like to listen to music, it’s just fun, which I think we can all agree on. I listen to both Arabic and English songs, but I have recently been leaning more towards Arabic, especially Egyptian, songs.

Finally, sports, specifically volleyball. I started playing volleyball in my freshman year of high school, and fell in love with it right away. I have not stopped playing since then and I hope to continue playing on campus.

Now, on to some of my goals. My current career goal is to become a software developer. That is not set in stone since I am still exploring the field of computer science and discovering what I might like to do in it, but I do enjoy coding. As for my life goals, I don't have any big ones right now. I am just hoping to adapt to and enjoy college while making new friends, joining some interesting student organizations, and doing well academically.
